Technical Abstract: The seed fertility and microsporogenesis in the hybrids of four tetraploid wheat genotypes crossed with a goat-grass accession were analyzed. Preliminary results indicated that the seed fertility and microsporogenesis in the hybrids were highly dependent on their wheat genotypes. Durum wheat ‘Langdon’ and Persian wheat PS5 caused chromosome restitution and equational division at the first meiotic division, respectively, resulting in formation of functional unreduced gametes and seed fertility of the intergeneric hybrids.
