Technical Abstract: This presentation will be the introduction to the symposium "Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in Stored Product Entomology", presented as part of the 5th National IPM Conference. The introduction will describe the unique challenges of pest management in stored-product environments, and examine some of the components of IPM strategies in those diverse environments. In this workshop, speakers will address integrated management of stored product pests by describing specific components of integrated pest management (IPM) tactics that rely on reduced-risk methods, non-chemical alternatives, and effective use of preventive and responsive management.
