Interpretive Summary: This fact sheet describes the symptoms, disease cycles and management strategies for three tospoviruses that exist and cause economic losses in crops in the southeastern United States. Although these viruses infect other crops across wide geographic areas, this report is directed to the southeastern United States. This fact sheet summarizes the current knowledge on the diseases caused by these viruses for growers, extension agents, crop consultants, and other members of the vegetable production and plant pathology communities fulfilling an important part of the ARS mission.

Technical Abstract: Tospoviruses are major viral pathogens worldwide, and they are especially devastating in solanaceous crops in the southeastern United States.
