Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: The stink bugs Euschistus heros Fabr. and Dichelops melacanthus Dallas are important pests of several crops, including soybean, Glycine max (L.) Merrill. To elucidate the mechanisms involved in the reproductive behavior of theses bugs is important in order to develop efficient methods of these pests control. Therefore, bioassays were conducted in the laboratory to evaluate oviposition preference of these two species of stink bugs on artificial substrate treated with phytochemical extracts.
