Interpretive Summary: 'Galaxy' is a mid-season white flesh peach that is sweet with low acid. It is unusual because of its flat shaped fruit. It is larger, more attractive and firmer tham Saturn which ripens at the same time. It provides growers with improved flat (peento) shaped peach for the fresh market.

Technical Abstract: 'Galaxy' is being released by USDA/ARS to provide a fresh market, mid-season peento shaped peach that is larger, firmer and more attractive that 'Saturn'. It ripens in late June in the Parlier area of the San Joaquin Valley of California. It has white flesh that is sub-acid, sweet, melting and clingstone.
