Interpretive Summary: Every year new fruit and nut varieties are named and made available to the public. The Register of Fruit and Nut Varieties (formerly known as the "Brooks and Olmo List" has been the standard source of information on new varieties of temperate and tropical fruits for over 50 years. Since 1994 there have been six lists published in HortScience. This is the most recent list and includes descriptions of apple, blackberry, blueberry, cherry, currant, grape, nectarine, peach, plum, plumcot, prunus, raspberry, strawberry, and tropical fruit, A total of 363 varieties are described in detail. Most originated in the US but some are from other countries.
