Interpretive Summary: Mexican peach growers are interested in the current production systems used commercially in the Southeastern United States. Standard practices are discussed in relation to their utility for commercial producers in Mexico. Standard southeastern cultural practices are discussed in detail. Topics covered include pre-plant land preparation, fumigation, nematode control, disease control, fertilization, pruning, thinning, tree spacing, harvesting and insect control. More experimental cultural approaches such as high-density "walls" or "V" trees are also discussed.
