Technical Abstract: There is a limited number of insecticides used to manage insects in stored grains, and there are a variety of factors which may influence the availability of these compounds. Insecticide resistance, effects of environmental and biological factors on product efficacy, and legislative actions that can influence regulatory decisions are reviewed and discussed with appropriate references from scientific literature. Potential new products and registrations are also reviewed and discussed.
