Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: This publication is a CD-ROM prepared by an international team of 12 scientists for the purpose of rapid identification of yeasts. Strains may be characterized from conventional growth tests or from sequences of selected genes. Test results are entered into the computer program where they are compared with data from all known species, resulting in an extremely rapid identification. In addition, photomicrographs are provided for many of the species.
