Citation: Kinscherf, T.G., Willis, D.K. 2002. Dna sequence of the tabc gene within the tabtoxin biosynthetic gene cluster of pseudomonas syringae (genebank accession number af519896). Genbank.

Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: The predicted gene product of the P. syringae tabC gene is a putative zinc binding protein (PROSITE motif PS00142). It also contains repeats similar to those of zein storage protein (BLOCKS motif IPB002530A) and streptococcal M protein (BLOCKS motif IPB003345A); accession P31849 appears to represent a fragment of this gene. This putative protein may play a role in tabtoxin biosynthesis.
