Technical Abstract: In 2001, we conducted trials on combination lures for monitoring oriental and Japanese beetle, tested Asiatic garden beetle and yellowjacket attractants. We also tested alternatives to dipping for control of Japanese beetle and conducted IR-4 trials to test insecticides against oriental beetle and European chafer in containerized stock. In addition, we collected preliminary data on traps for monitoring black vine weevil, life history of oriental beetle in Ohio and a parasite attacking oriental beetle. These trials and their results will be reviewed. Research plans for 2002 will also be presented.
