Technical Abstract: The USDA MOdular Soil Erosion System (MOSES) phase 1, is a tool to provide wind and water soil erosion estimates to the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) field personnel. Release is scheduled for October 2000. MOSES utilizes an enhanced Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE2) and the Wind Erosion Prediction System (WEPS) model, a graphical user interface, and a data storage mechanism, in the WindowsTM 95/98/NT environment. The purpose of this paper is to present a brief overview of this product.
