The book, C4 Plant Biology, edited by Rowan F. Sage and Russell K. Monson, is a comprehensive review of biology of plants with the C4 photosynthetic pathway. There are sixteen chapters covering the discovery, physiology, ecology, and evolution of plants with C4 photosynthesis. Two of the chapters are directly concerned with agronomically important C4 plants. Due to the book's broad coverage, scientists in many different disciplines would want to read C4 Plant Biology.
