Interpretive Summary: 'Micro-Tina' is a red-fruited, miniature dwarf tomato variety with a sweet flavor. 'Micro-Gemma' is a yellow-fruited miniature dwarf tomato variety with an overall good tomato flavor. These two varieties were developed and recently released to the public. They have a reduced plant and fruit size for growing in pots, window sills or hanging baskets.

Technical Abstract: 'Micro-Tina' is a red-fruited miniature dwarf tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill) cultivar of a type similar to 'micro-Tom', but with a sweeter flavor. 'Micro-Gemma' is a gold-fruited miniature dwarf with superior flavor to that of 'Micro-Gold'. These companion releases provide tomato cultivars that are genetically reduced in overall plant size and all plant organs; fruit, leaves, and stems compared to dwarf cultivars. They can be grown in small pots, on window sills or in small hanging baskets. They provide a well proportioned plant size ideally suited to commercial growing, shipping, and selling due to their small size and light weight.
