Technical Abstract: Larval-resistant maize inbreds were not preferred for oviposition when adult females were given a choice between a resistant and a susceptible inbred in the field. Extracts were tested in a laboratory bioassay and used as an initial step in the characterization of the compounds involved in maize resistance to oviposition.
