Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: The body makes highly reactive molecules, at times as a by-product of other processes, but also sometimes intentionally. This book chapter reviews both the generation of these molecules and how the molecules can impact viral infections. There is a specific focus on influenza virus infections.
