Interpretive Summary: A new species of Andean Amaryllidaceae, Clinanthus milagroanthus S. Leiva & Meerow, is described from the Department of La Libertad in Peru. The new species is most closely related to C. mirabilis (Ravenna) Meerow, with further affinities to C. viridiflorus (R. & P.) Meerow. It can be distinguished from C. mirabilis by its wider leaves, the much more brightly colored and wide spreading tepals, and the much lighter colored floral tube (yellowish green vs. dark green in C. mirabilis). A conspicuous bulge just proximal to the midpoint of the tube is a unique character of the new species.

Technical Abstract: Clinanthus milagroanthus S. Leiva & Meerow is described from the Department of La Libertad in Peru.
