Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Videogames can be used to help children change their obesity-related diet and physical activity behaviors. A review of the relevant literature in this special issue of the Games for Health Journal indicated that video games did influence children's adiposity, but only among children who were already overweight or obese. Menus of items for behavior change procedures and children's most commonly selected choices were presented to enable game developers to more efficiently present choices in their games. Other articles presented findings on important aspects of video games for child obesity prevention.
