Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: This book contains all of the extended abstracts from the ASABE specialty conference, the International Symposium on Erosion and Landscape Evolution (ISELE), held September 18-21, 2011 at the Hilton Anchorage Hotel in Anchorage, Alaska. Three extended abstracts from the meeting keynote speakers as well as 116 contributed extended abstracts on state-of-the-art research in soil erosion by Aeolian and water processes, erosion measurement, erosion control, erosion modeling, and landscape evolution processes as impacted by global change are included. Additionally, the book contains editorial comments, acknowledgements, a preface from the symposium chairmen, information on the sponsoring and co-sponsoring organizations, and the make-up of the symposium organizing committee. Information described within this volume provides a quick reference on current soil erosion research, and allows a reader to determine which full ISELE paper to look to for further details. Research findings and procedures described in the book will help to direct future soil erosion research activities over the next ten years.
