Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Cedarwood oil has previously been demonstrated to confer resistance to otherwise non-resistant wood. This earlier research involved the use of ethanol as the carrier solvent to impregnate the wood. For several reasons, a better carrier for the cedarwood oil was desired. In this current study, several methods for preparing stable yet non-permanent dispersions of cedarwood oil in water were examined for pressure-treating wood.
