Technical Abstract: Anthracnose is a destructive fungal disease of weakened turf that occurs throughout the United States, Canada, and Western Europe and is particularly severe on annual bluegrass (Poa annua). In this article, we provide an overview of the biology, host range and epidemiology of the fungus responsible for anthracnose disease on turfgrass, Colletotrichum cereale.
