Interpretive Summary: Bot flies infest mammals including wildlife and domestic animals and cause some damage in the livestock industry. This paper presents the first concrete collection records for Deer Nasal Bot for the state of Maryland. Illustrations are presented to enable others to identify this fly. This information will be of use to scientists, wildlife biologists, and others that may need to identify this fly.

Technical Abstract: The Deer Nasal Bot, Cephenemyia phobifer (Clark), is recorded for Maryland for the first time, based on rearing and collection records. Photographic illustrations of the Maryland specimens are presented.
