Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Giardia and Cryptosporidium are frequent parasites of livestock, companion animals, and wildlife, raising questions about the clinical significance of such infections. Infections with both parasites have a wide spectrum of symptoms that can vary between asymptomatic infections to serious infection causing death. This presentation will review the clinical presentations of cryptosporidiosis and giardiasis in animals.
