Technical Abstract:
Only recently the ecological non target effects of biocontrol have been recognized and studies. This chapter presents examples that were highlighted in the past 3 decades as non target effects in biocontrol. Two main examples are for weeds, the prickly pear in Central America, and for insect pests, the harlequin ladybug.
