Technical Abstract: The morphology, physiology, systematics, ecology, and natural products of the species that currently compose the actinobacterial genus Kibdelosporangium is presented. The phylogenetic position of the taxa within this genus, including Kibdelosporangium aridum subsp. aridum, Kibdelosporangium aridum subsp. largum, and Kibdelosporangium philippinense relative to the species in other genera within the suborder Pseudonocardineae is discussed. Methods for isolation, preservation, and characterization are detailed.
