The overview and chapters on biodiversity indicators and the DPSIR (driving force, pressure, state, impacts, and response) framework used by the European Environmental Agency (EEA) will be of most interest to JEQ readers. The most important message from this book is that sustainability indicators are scientifically supportable and can be applied nationally to make international comparisons of progress toward sustainability goals and targets. |
