Technical Abstract: Important diseases and their management practices of lentil were reviewed. The diseases reveiwed include Ascochyta blight (Ascochyta lentis), Anthracnose (Colletotrichum truncatum), White mold (Sclerotinia sclerotiorum), rust (Uromyces viciae-fabae), Botrytis gray mold (Botrytis cinerea and B. fabae), Stemphylium blight (Stemphylium botryosum), Fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lentis), and nematode diseases including root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne incognita, M. javanica), cyst nematode (Heterodera ciceri), and root-lesion nematodes (Pratylenchus thornei, P. penetrans, and P. mediterraneus), and stem nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci).
