Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Optical sensor based algorithms for corn fertilization have developed by researchers in several states. The goal of this international research project was to evaluate these different algorithms and determine their robustness over a large geographic area. Concurrently the goal of this project was to determine if alternative algorithms could be identified. A similar experimental protocol was employed by researchers from several land-grant universities and international research institutions. The results from this project will be disseminated at the national meetings.
