Interpretive Summary:

Technical Abstract: Insect growth regulators (IGRs) are seen as reduced-risk insecticides to replace conventional neurotoxins for insect pest management in stored products. The use of IGRs will be discussed, with reference to different application methods and available commercial products. Similarly, aerosol insecticides (fogging) are becoming more important in pest management programs for mills and warehouses. Data from recent research studies with aerosols, along with data from studies with IGRs, will be described and summarized as part of a training conference.
