Technical Abstract: The Agricultural Research Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture released four indica rice genetic stocks (Oryza sativa L.), apoptosis, chives, extreme dwarf, and gold leaf, Reg. No. GS ___ to _____,and PI _______ to _______, respectively, in May, 2006. These specialized seed stocks are expected to be useful to scientists conducting basic genetic studies, and some cases may be useful to breeders for identifying lines in breeding programs.
