Objective:
Evaluating the effects of Genotype x Environment interactions on postweaning performance in crossbred calves grazing winter wheat pasture or dormant native prairie in the Southern Great Plains.

Approach:
A detailed research methodology will be developed in collaboration with researchers from USDA-ARS Laboratory, Clay Center, NE and Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center, Overton, TX to evaluate the effects of Genetics x Environment x Management interactions on beef cattle performance in the U.S. Great Plains. Field trials will be conducted simultaneously in Clay Center, NE, El Reno, OK and Overton, TX.
