Objective:
BLM, Jornada Experimental Range, and TNC, in combination enter into this MOU in order to cooperatively provide the land, expertise, and equipment to install and maintain one of twelve wind erosion monitoring stations across the Western United States. This station will be part of the National Wind Erosion Research Network.
Approach:
Network sites will be located on USDA land, integrated with the new Long Term Agro-ecosystem Research (LTAR) network. Sites will also be located on BLM land, Department of Defense land and private land with cooperating partners.
