Research Project: Support for the "usable Science for Rangeland Sustainability Workshop" (Pa-14-011) Project Number: 0202-11000-001-57
Project Type: Grant

Start Date: Jun 01, 2014
End Date: May 31, 2015

Objective:
The Sustainable Rangelands Roundtable (SRR) in partnership with the Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation and the National Grazing Lands Coalition (NGLC) proposes a workshop to bring together university and agency researchers, public and private land managers, and representatives of funding agencies and organizations to initiate the process of charting a research agenda of usable science for rangeland sustainability. The major output from this workshop is envisioned as a draft of comprehensive rangeland research agenda addressing social, ecological, and economic aspects or usable science for rangeland sustainability. Given the diversity of participants, Rangelands offers an appropriate publication venue with appeal to a broader audience than traditional peer-reviewed journals.

Approach:
USDA/ARS will provide support for the "Usable Science for Rangeland Sustainability Workshop" to be held June 2-4, 2014, in Ardmore, OK.
