Location: Grassland, Soil and Water Research Laboratory

Project Number: 3098-13610-007-43
Project Type: Interagency Reimbursable Agreement

Start Date: Jul 01, 2014
End Date: Jun 30, 2015

Objective:
Assist in the assessment and monetization of ecosystem service benefits derived from the implementation of conservation practices and use of conservation programs by NRCS. Approach:
Provide direct, ready-for-use products evaluating the effects of NRCS conservation practices on selected ecosystem services for different land uses. Products include, but are not limited to, research, statistical analysis, spatial analysis (mapping products), monetization factors, and publication of findings in peer-reviewed journals on the effects of NRCS conservation practices on selected ecosystem services from different land uses. This work will continue support of the Conservation Effects Assessment Project (CEAP), a multi-agency effort led by NRCS to provide policy and decision makers with an assessment of the environmental benefits of implementing conservation practices.
