Specific Cooperative Agreement
Start Date: Sep 02, 2013
End Date: Mar 31, 2014
The objective is to regenerate and manage 1,100 peanut plots in order to evaluate phenotypic traits (yield, grade, disease resistance, morphology, protein, oil content and etc.), produce adequate seed for germplasm distribution, take digital images of all lines in the core collection and commercial peanut standards.
One hundred seeds of each line will be planted in Citra, Florida; each line in a 10' long plot with a 10' long alley way. Fertilizer, pesticides, herbicides and irrigation will be applied as needed to ensure the plants are in good health throughout the growing season (120-160 days).
