Location: Soybean and Nitrogen Fixation Research

Project Number: 6645-21220-068-24
Project Type: General Cooperative Agreement

Start Date: May 01, 2013
End Date: Dec 31, 2013

Objective:
Accelerate the process of developing and introducing new traits into elite germplasm that will lead to high-yielding varieties.

Approach:
Complete a core collection and mini-core collection of the wild soybean accessions in the USDA Soybean Germplasm Collection that was initiated in 2012. Evaluate morphological/biochemical plant and seed traits for all wild soybean accessions in this study. This analysis will enhance the utility of USB products in applied breeding.
