Objective:
Enhance the computational model WinDAM so that it can be used by the engineering profession for evaluation of internal erosion and breach of earthen embankments. The development and enhancement of the computer models will contribute to the transfer of technology developed through research at HERU to the user community. The products will be in the form of input, output, and help screens; and quick start documentation. It will also include integrating the computational modules added to WinDAM for the internal erosion computations.

Approach:
ARS-HERU, NRCS, and Kansas State University will work on development of additional help screens, quick start documentation for a beta version of WinDAM C for addressing the enhancements to the software relative to internal erosion. There will also be work conducted to support present software including WinDAM B and SITES, and supporting WinTR20. Preliminary work will also be conducted relative to preparing for future enhancements to WinDAM.
