Objective:
To develop method and algorithms for rapid measurement of the distributions and variations of cotton fiber properties.

Approach:
High resolution images will be acquired by scanner or digital camera on a selection of cotton samples coving a wide range of cotton color grades. Image analysis techniques and algorithm will be developed to process the images to obtain color distributions and to identify the impacts of trash and other impurities.
