Research Project: DEVELOPMENT OF IMPROVED HIGH OLEIC PEANUT VARIETIES

Objective:
Develop new and improved high oleic peanut varieties with value-added traits that are adapted to perform optimally in Oklahoma and Texas.

Approach:
Through traditional breeding techniques, breeding lines with value-added traits will be established and tested for promising performance in Oklahoma and Texas. Variety trials conducted across the state of Oklahoma by the cooperator will be crucial to variety release.
