Objective:
To evaluate, characterize, and improve common bean genetics for biological nitrogen fixation.

Approach:
ARS will acquire germplasm, conduct field studies, and perform genetic analysis; WSU will provide graduate student support and expertise on characterization of soils and rhizobium strains.
