Objective:
To determine if eating breakfast regularly is associated with an overall diet of high quality, consumption of nutrient-dense foods, and reduced snacking behavior compared to omitting breakfast regularly in Hispanics and non-Hispanic Whites.
Approach:
Food intake patterns of adult women who report regularly eating breakfast or regularly omitting breakfast will be studied and compared using dietary interviews, food record-keeping, structured laboratory food intake behavior protocols and assessment of appetite and satiety.
