Objective:
Conduct research involving non-lethal methods to minimize depredation by double-crested cormorants on commercial aquaculture facilities.

Approach:
New and improved non-lethal methods will be evaluated on commercial fish farms including utilization of physical barriers and electronic scare devices. Aerial surveys will be conducted within the most concentrated areas of catfish, hybrid striped bass and baitfish production in the delta region of Arkansas from November 2002 through March 2003.
