Objective:
The objective of the current research project is to utilize nuclear magnetic resonance techniques to collect data on metabolomics in soil treated with anaerobic soil disinfestation in order to investigate functional changes in the microbial community.
Approach:
NMR will be used to investigate amino acid metabolism, carbon flux, fatty acid production and utilization in soil extracts. Samples will be collected from replicated, repeated field experiments.
