Research Project: Automated Geospatial Watershed Assessment (AGWA) to aid in sustaining military mission and training

Objective:
The objective of this project is to refine and demonstrate the Automated Geospatial Watershed Assessment (AGWA) tool coupled with the Facilitator Decision Support Tool (DST) for scientifically-based watershed assessments on several DoD installations to aid base managers in preserving and expanding their mission, and meeting stewardship requirements in support of training.

1) Identify-watershed-management-&-regulatory-requirements; 2)Conduct-initial-training-and-user-needs-assessment; 3) Characterize-demonstration-sites-Calibrate-and-validate-models; 4) Incorporate-military-activities-versus-vegetation-and-cover-conditions; 5) Couple-AGWA-and-Facilitator-DST; 6) Define-and-construct-scenarios-C-Complete-draft-demonstration-plan; 7) Conduct-second-round-of-AGWACFacilitator-training-C-Complete-final-demonstration-plan; and, 8) Technology-transfer.
