Assessing the Effects and Effectiveness of Conservation Practices Through Advanced Geospatial Techniques
Hydrology and Remote Sensing Laboratory
Project Number: 1245-13610-028-33
Specific Cooperative Agreement
Start Date: May 28, 2012
End Date: Dec 31, 2014
The objective of this agreement is to support the USDA Mid-Atlantic Wetland Conservation Effects Assessment Project through project management and active research into the functioning of wetlands across an anthropogenic alteration gradient, including the development of methods to product maps of wetlands and key wetland functional drivers and to link those maps to ecosystem function.
ARS will meet with operational agencies to determine science needs. Both parties will jointly determine the most advantageous project management arrangements and scientific protocols. The cooperator will implement the agreed upon approach and both parties will analyze and present study results.
