Objective:
To assist MCC in conducting research to develop and transfer solutions to agricultural problems of high national priority; provide information access and dissemination to ensure high quality, safe food, livestock, rangelands and other agricultural products; ensure that MCC Compact interventions aimed at sustaining or promoting a competitive agricultural economy have the greatest chance of success; enhance the natural resource base and the environment; and provide economic opportunities for rural citizens, communities, and society as a whole through agriculture.

Approach:
ARS will work with MCC to identify agricultural research activities in support of MCC compact interventions. Implementation arrangements will be specified and carried out by ARS scientists through interagency agreements (IAA).
