Research Project: BIOINFORMATICS OF PSYLLID GENOME

Objective:
1. To produce a draft genome of the Asian citrus psyllid. 2. Identify transcriptome and genetic targets for management strategies.

Approach:
Genomic and transcriptome sequencing platforms will be used to generate genomic sequences. Commercially available software will be used for data assembly. The genome will be placed into a genomic software package which will enable research community access. All data will be posted into the public domain.
