2013 Annual Report
1a.Objectives (from AD-416):
The objective of project is to complete the development of WinDAM C into a version that can be used and evaluated by the profession of dam safety engineers as well as update and maintain WinDAM B, SITES, and WinTR20.
1b.Approach (from AD-416):
In order to accomplish these objectives will require a team approach involving ARS engineers and scientists, NRCS engineers, and cooperators to:.
1)complete development of additional input and help screens, additional output data and graphics, and quick start documentation for a final version of WinDAM C for internal erosion;.
2)support setting the framework for WinDAM D and WinDAM E for development of future versions of WinDAM to address complex downstream embankment geometries and zoned materials;.
3)support present software SITES and WinDAM B; and.
4)continue to support the integration of WinTR20.
Progress involved three computational models that have been produced for NRCS: SITES, WinDAM, and WinTR20. SITES issues addressed related to code verification and maintenance of the software. WinDAM issues addressed included code verification, maintenance of WinDAM B, and development of initial code for WinDAM C. WinTR20 issues addressed related code verification and maintenance of the software.
