Research Project: CONTINUED DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF SITES, WINDAM, AND WINTR20

Location: Hydraulic Engineering Research

Project Number: 6217-13000-009-36
Project Type: Reimbursable

Start Date: May 01, 2012
End Date: Aug 31, 2013

Objective:
The objective of project is to complete the development of WinDAM C into a version that can be used and evaluated by the profession of dam safety engineers as well as update and maintain WinDAM B, SITES, and WinTR20.

Approach:
In order to accomplish these objectives will require a team approach involving ARS engineers and scientists, NRCS engineers, and cooperators to: 1) complete development of additional input and help screens, additional output data and graphics, and quick start documentation for a final version of WinDAM C for internal erosion; 2) support setting the framework for WinDAM D and WinDAM E for development of future versions of WinDAM to address complex downstream embankment geometries and zoned materials; 3) support present software SITES and WinDAM B; and 4) continue to support the integration of WinTR20.
