During FY 12, the Albanian share of the fruit and nut germplasm and associated documentation collected in the 2011 joint U.S.-Albania plant exploration was transferred to the Albanian genebank by the cooperator. A subset of the above germplasm was also propagated by the cooperator for eventual inclusion in the horticultural plantings at the Agricultural University of Tirana. A project to translate documents on traditional fruits and nuts of Albania from Albanian into English was also initiated by the cooperator.
